We would like to share a customer letter that has just dropped into our in-box. The Royal Tunbridge Wells Skin & Laser Clinic carried out 6,500 procedures last year alone, and as a result has a whole file of testimonials, however this is one we really wanted to share with you; especially those who are suffering with and looking for a treatment for Melasma.
"I am mixed raced, with medium brown skin which, is prone to
scarring and a whole host of other complaints. I am 46, and have suffered from M
elasma for about 10 years. It was concentrated on the bridge of my nose and my
upper lip. I spent many years trying different treatments. I visited many clinics in Brighton and in Kent where treatments which were inappropriate for
my skin type were recommended and performed. A great number of these treatments
worsened my condition.
Over the past 2 years I've had had to spend almost 20
minutes every morning concealing the almost black patch on the bridge of my
nose and, my upper lip. I was very depressed as the discolouration of my
upper lip gave me a 'masculine' appearance. The Melasma had become so bad that
it curtailed my social life. I avoided most social situations unless they took
place at night. I became somewhat of a recluse because I was so embarrassed by

During my first appointment with Practice Nurse,
Aksana. She diagnosed my condition and recommended the
Obagi System.
She spent a long time explaining what it was, how it worked and the results I
would get. She was honest, patient and took time to explain things in 'layman's' terms. I'd previously filled in a detailed form, so Aksana was aware of my
complaints, fears and expectations.
We spoke at great length before I agreed to
try the treatment. I collected my first
Obagi package a week later and began
the treatment 2 days later.
Meanwhile, Aksana gave me her telephone number and
encouraged me to telephone her if I had any adverse reaction to the treatment
or, if I had any concerns or questions. She took extraordinary care in
describing how the products should be applied. Aksana took several photographs
of my face from different angles and sent me on my way. I began the treatment a
couple of days later. I was very excited, but sceptical.
By the time my second
appointment day arrived (3 weeks later), I was ecstatic! Several spots I'd had
on my face for years had begun to fade and, the patch on the bridge of my nose
had lightened a little. So had my upper lip. Despite the fact that I
experienced a great deal of peeling, I was delighted with the lightening of the
dark patches. I have continued to see Aksana at 3 week intervals during the
past 3 months, and I will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.
After 3 months, I have to say that my skin has been completely transformed! I no
longer use concealer, except on 1 very stubborn, small spot on my left
cheekbone which takes no more than a couple of seconds to conceal. The bridge of
my nose and my upper lip are exactly the same shade as the rest of my face. My
complexion has never looked healthier; strangers have even complemented me on my
skin.
I never imagined I could ever set foot outside my home bare-faced, but it
is precisely what I do when I'm not at work. I am actually proud to go out with
not a scrap of makeup. I am more outgoing, confident and so much happier. If I
didn't love what I am currently doing, I would have no qualms about spending my
time espousing the benefits of the treatment I am undergoing - it has
