How Is Teosyal Redensity Applied?
At the Royal Tunbridge Wells Skin & Laser Clinic we use a technique called Mesotherapy; a non-surgical procedure that is very efficient at rejuvenating and adding nutrients to the skin. We transfer a pure hypo-allergenic gel (that is found naturally in the body), into the mesoderm (the middle skin) via numerous ultra-fine injections. Teosyal have blended microscopic quantities of collagen-stimulating vitamins and minerals with 8 amino acids, 3 anti-oxidants and rehydrating hyaluronic acid, which help to increase cell membrane and DNA regeneration.
How Does It Work?
Firstly, it is the actual reduction in Hyaluronic Acid that occurs naturally in the skin layers over time that itself aids wrinkle development! This substance can retain 500 times its own volume in water, swelling to plump out the skin and intensively hydrate it from within. This hydrating property not only helps the skin to look and feel firmer, but also aids in the transport of essential nutrients from the bloodstream to the skin cells. Hyaluronic Acid is also used medically, including the treatment of joint pain, use in fertility clinics and tissue augmentation.

Is It Painful?

Is There Downtime Or Side Effects?
After treatment you may resume your normal activities pretty much immediately. You may experience some mild bruising from the needles, localised itching and there may be some marks left at the micro-injection sites for a few hours after the procedure is over, however this can be treated effectively with Arnica (taken orally or applied topically on a daily basis).
Is A Skin Test Required Before Treatment?
Hyaluronic Acid is 100% non-animal origin and non-allergenic, so an allergy test is not required prior to injection.
Is It Temporary Or Permanent?
Temporary. Hyaluronic acid is completely broken down within the skin over a period of months, and eventually leaves no trace of the filler.
How Many Sessions Do I Need?
This depends on the severity and type of condition; however for optimum results we recommend a course of 3 treatments, at 3 x weekly intervals. How Long Do The Effects Last?
