Whilst booking their laser treatments many will also come to us for their BOTOX® treatments. We have recently been told that have been offered cut price or bargain BOTOX® and whether or not we recommend they take this offer up?
We believe that if you’re considering BOTOX®, the first step would be to educate yourself in advance. If you’re well-informed, you can help to safeguard the safety of your treatment and ultimately your on-going satisfaction with the results.
So what should you do to make sure you stay safe?
"If you are considering any aesthetic treatment, it is vital to ensure that your treatment will be carried out in a clinic or hospital that is registered with the Care Quality Commission," advises Dr Nina Sheffield, Clinic Director at the Royal Tunbridge Wells Skin & Laser Clinic.
"Ask to see the vial to ensure that it is actually Botox and not another, cheaper brand, ask about the dilution and ensure that the person injecting is fully qualified and experienced. Finally, remember that according to GMC Guidelines, BOTOX® should only be prescribed face-to-face, by a doctor".
If something looks too good to be true, it probably is!
Do your homework and familiarise yourself with what's recommended and what's not. Better still ask your practitioner. They should be able to tell you immediately which products they use and why they use the products they do. We all like a bargain, especially in our economic climate, but when it comes to facial aesthetics, cheaper is most certainly not better.
